You Don't look Anorexic

Often times we mistakenly believe that we can tell if someone is struggling with an eating disorder just by looking at them. This is completely untrue and, in fact, less than 6% of people diagnosed with an eating disorder are considered underweight. This article is so important in highlighting that eating disorders come in all shapes and sizes and that any person could be struggling with one.

The New York Times published an article called ‘You Don’t Look Anorexic’ looking at new research showing that our assumptions about eating disorders are often wrong — and that many larger-bodied people are starving themselves.
